The Hyper-Linked Library

I hope everyone that attended enjoyed the Michael Stephens program! He had some excellent points that really apply to the future of libraries, especially harnessing the collective experience. Please let me know what you thought of his presentation. What resonated with you? What did you agree or disagree with?

I'm just watching how this tremendously great project unfolds and the fact that you chose 'art vandelay' as your blog name rocks! : )

Micheal was great! I really like what he has to say about being transparent. It strikes a chord with me because I've appreciated how CML is starting to become more transparent in so many ways! I like how we're hearing more about how decisions are made and how to let our own voices be heard.

OK...I am a little jaded. I am not a librarian and even though I have extended myself to learn about several technical things, the library needs people to do the basic things and it just doesn't support much else from my group. The feeling I get from coleagues is that I really shouldn't do this at work. (There, I said it. More burnt toes.)My feeling is..since I can do this on my own in my own time, to hell with everyone else. I am in. Transparent enough for you?
